Year II, Spring 2018

The name Oru originates from the Japanese word for folding, which symbolizes the folded expression of the building facade and roof.  I wanted to create a house that would deviate from its surroundings. The building is a housing project for a family with a student home further in on the plot. The building is placed on a narrow plot measuring 12 x 5 meters and the challenge with this project was to be able to let in daylight throughout the building.
